Away Days is a well-known term in English football (soccer) culture, referring to the day you go and watch your team play in another city. The day is all about travelling with your community, celebrating (or commiserating) your team, and building experiences around your passion for football, travel and beer.
Opened in 2019 by former Toffee Club owners and British transplants Niki Diamond and Pete Hoppins, Away Days Brewing is inspired by a love of the beautiful game and favourite memories of European travels.
Our modern and intimate SE Portland taproom has ten rotating taps as well as two cask engines, featuring some of our favourite styles from England and across Europe.
We have indoor and outside seating and a rollup door for the warmer months.
We currently don’t have food, but you can bring food in from any of the food carts across the street.
Minors are welcome.

Marshall may be a brewer without a beard, but that doesn’t stop him creating amazingly poundable beers. Formerly of Alameda Brewing, Marshall shares our love of European, well-balanced beers. His attention to detail, hard work and extraordinary talent is gaining him a reputation for consistently producing brews of the highest quality.
If you come and visit our SE Portland taproom, you’re sure to meet the wonderful Jamie. Using her deep knowledge and true passion for our beer, she will ensure that every guest receives a perfectly-chosen, perfectly-poured pint. Never flustered and always smiling, if you need recommendations for your next brewery visit Jamie has you covered.
Sundays are even better when Jay is behind the bar. Texas born and bred, Jay joined Away Days when he moved to Portland back in 2021. Always ready with a smile and a story to tell, Jay will make you feel right at home when you come by for a pint.
English-born, Europe and American-bred, Niki is the glue that holds everything together. Community is at the heart of all that Niki does. Her love and thoughtfulness for our team and guests is the secret sauce to our success. Niki started working in pubs in Germany at the age of 16 and will comfortably drink anyone under the table.
Hailing from Liverpool in England, Pete worked for Nike as their head of design for soccer before switching full time to focus on Away Days and our sister pub the Toffee Club. He is the one who makes our cans look nice and designs our killer merchandise. Pete can often be found at the taproom chatting with guests and “testing” our new beers.
