Anticipating the months ahead, we bring you a Red Ale that is sure to warm the cockles. Inspired by the high visibility soccer balls used in wintery conditions, our Hi-Viz Winter Ale is perfect for the changing seasons.
Style: Imperial Red/Winter Ale / ABV: 7% / IBU: 40 / SRM: 15
Hi-Viz is a smooth drinking, west coast Imperial Red. We brewed this beer with the dark PNW winters in mind. Sticky English caramel malts are layered underneath generous hopping throughout for a sturdy, but lively, winter ale. Mosaic and Harlequin hops represent both sides of the pond adding notes of pineapple, dank cannabis, ripe watermelon, and fresh strawberries.

History:
The use of American hops in the American double red ale lends to the perception of medium hop bitterness, flavor and aroma. Coupled with a solid malt profile, this should be a beer with balance between hop bitterness and malt sweetness. This is another example of modern American brewers taking an established style and boosting the flavor. California brewers are credited with creating this innovative style.
