About: Experience some of the best cask-conditioned beer that the Pacific Northwest has to offer! We will have eight different, local cask beers pouring at our SE Portland taproom at Cask Fest 2020.
New to cask? Cask-conditioned beer, traditionally ale, is a long-standing tradition in English brewing that takes an extra amount of care from the brewer and cellar person. The beer is racked into the cask unpasteurized and unfiltered to further condition. After the beer has fully matured it is served utilizing gravity or a hand pump at a slightly warmer temperature and lower carbonation than typical draft beer. This presentation creates a soft, full-flavored, living expression of a beer that will be unique from cask to cask and even pint to pint.
Tickets: We are pre-selling custom Away Days 20oz mugs and a first beer for $15, available through Eventbrite and at the brewery. Tickets are not required to enter, however custom mugs are limited and only guaranteed through pre-order.
Beers: We will be pouring a selection of eight cask-conditioned beers on the day, available at full or half pint pours. See the current list on the attached page. Final tap list details will be announced on Facebook and Instagram on the run up to the event.
Food: We will be serving up some of the best of British snacks from our neighbor and sister company, the Toffee Club.
