You know we love easy-drinking lagers and classic English Ales here at Away Days Brewing… Well, this month we’re taking a rare foray into Double IPA land and we’re loving it!
Forest Hills is a big, hopped up, dry, West Coast Double IPA.
We used a base of mainly Pilsner malt with just a touch of Golden Promise. Huge amounts of Simcoe were added in the kettle and dry hopping along with Strata and Azacca to bring out all the piney, tropical, and dank goodness you could want. You can expect notes of Mango, sticky pine, honey, guava, and mixed berry all with a dry finish and satisfying bitterness.
